Zone 1 - Yuri is the Arch enemy also controlling a Soviet and Allied base. There are three enemy bases to be destroyed in succession with a clear path from one to the next.Īgain depending on the 'Zone' you choose in part 1 completely changes the layout- (see attached Pic) The map extends to it's final size and is intended to be a more linear mission. Again lots of random events played over 3 skill levels. Take care when attacking bases as they may retaliate and call in reinforcements. There is a built in AI made with triggers, lots of random events and reinforcements all played over 3 different skill levels. Each enemy has different attacks some defend whilst others charge in. There are 3 enemy's (although you only play against 2 at a time). Select by clicking on one of the construction vehicles. Each 'Zone' has different attributes (easier to defend or more ore). Map starts fairly small, and is intended to play like a skirmish.Ĭhoose one of the three start locations located around the map (marked with arrows, 'Zones' 1,2 &3). It consists of three distinct part's each part opening up more land and objectives as you play though. The classic nine generals have made their return and one of the devs also implemented the Skirmish AI for more challenging fights against the computer.This is my largest and most complicated Single player mission to date. It has also added a number of new units, including the Laser Crusader, Laser Paladin, Laser Humvee, Laser Comanche, Bombcars, Katyusha, and Armadillo Outpost. The mod is currently in its beta 0.2 phase and, much like Mental Omega, has been 12 years in the making. The primary reason for this was so that Generals fans could play the game on Red Alert 3's vastly superior SAGE 2.0 engine. While this mod adds a whole lot more to Red Alert 2, the Command & Conquer: General Evolution mod turns Red Alert 3 into C&C Generals. The developers recently put out the final update for the mod which, over the years, has added improved visuals, a new soundtrack, multiplayer support via CnCNet, and an impressive 133 new missions. This faction uses highly advanced tech and was formed during Yuri's rise to power. The Foehn Revolt is "an alliance of people from many nations driven by a single cause". It started off as a mod that added more missions for the Allies, Soviets, and Yuri's Epsilon Army, but eventually evolved into an unofficial sequel featuring a fourth faction. The mod has been developed by Speeder and Mevitar, who started work on the project almost 15 years ago. Well, if you're itching to get more Red Alert 2 content, you can check out the Mental Omega mod for the Yuri's Revenge expansion (Thanks PCGamesN). The original Command & Conquer and Red Alert spin-off did get remasters, but their more popular sequels are yet to receive the same treatment. While the AoE series was popular for its historical setting and units, Red Alert 2 let players live out their Red Dawn fantasy with modern unit types. If you're currently enjoying Age of Empires 4, chances are that you probably enjoyed Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 back in the day.
